Fiona at True

Fiona Biles

Based in New York, Fiona brings over a decade and a half of experience across both West Coast and East Coast startup ecosystems to her principal role at True. Her experience spans product management, strategy, and business development for both consumer and B2B companies.

Most recently, Fiona was the VP of product for direct-to-consumer food company Daily Harvest, where she built and led teams responsible for the digital customer experience, data products, and internal business systems. Prior, she was the VP of product for Brooklyn-based mobile product development agency Prolific Interactive (acquired by The We Company in 2019). 

Fiona’s early career focused on creating engaging mobile experiences as consumer and enterprise behaviors shifted to smartphones. She was a product manager and then the head of strategy and business development for women’s fashion e-tailer ModCloth (acquired by Wal-Mart in 2017). She also led product management for the mobile-focused SaaS commerce platform Handshake (acquired by Shopify in 2019). 

Fiona studied human biology and published research on cognitive development at Stanford University, which influenced her distinct perspective on how technology shapes human behavior and vice versa. She accredits her competitive swimming career, which led her to Olympic Trials in 2008, for igniting her curiosity around health and human performance.

Many know her as Fiona ODMC, an initialism of her maiden name, O’Donnell McCarthy.
