We are extremely excited to welcome Derek Collison, Founder of Apcera, to the True portfolio.

With previous roles as Chief Architect at TIBCO, Technical Director at Google, and architect of VMware’s Cloud Foundry service, Derek has always been a guy to watch. True is an active investor in the cloud infrastructure space, and we have been following Derek’s progress since Cloud Foundry’s initial launch.

It’s a unique time in the enterprise, where are we are seeing an architectural shift toward cloud-related stacks. Derek is one of the few individuals in the world who has the knowhow, perspective and expertise to build the next-generation cloud platform. He is a true visionary, and we are humbled to have the rare opportunity to lead an investment in Apcera.
