Today we’re proud to announce the True Spark Fellowship, a nine month-long fellowship open to college graduates and graduate-age professionals who identify as Black and/or Latinx and want to begin careers in technology.

We named the fellowship ‘Spark’ because we hope to ignite a passion for entrepreneurship among groups that have historically been significantly underrepresented in technology.

Over the past few months, our team has visited colleges and universities across the country to spread the word about Spark and our other career pathway programs that provide students and young professionals with exciting, world-positive job opportunities at startups.

The Priya Haji Fellowship, now in its fifth year, is a program for graduates and graduate-age professionals who identify as women, trans-women, genderqueer, or non-binary. And the True Entrepreneur Corps, our fellowship for college juniors and seniors, turned 10 years old this summer.

We make this time commitment of recruiting and engaging with potential fellowship applicants because we believe the more access we enable, the greater impact these programs will have in helping to ensure all groups of people are represented in True portfolio companies and in the broader startup ecosystem.

We will begin accepting applications for the True Spark Fellowship on Dec. 1, 2018, so please bookmark our fellowships page if you or someone you know would like to apply. The first class of True Spark Fellows will begin working at True portfolio companies in the San Francisco Bay Area in September 2019.
