Email is first.

You hand us a message and we deliver it with real-time reporting.

Think of us as your digital FedEx.

– MessageBus Blog post from today. . . .

We’ve long believed in the power of messaging. My partners and I have funded messaging companies eGroups, Oddpost, Critical Path, Meebo, Plaxo, Appcomony, SocialCast, Visto and most recently Yobongo (to name just a few). We are also lucky enough to be shareholders in Twitter. Messaging of all types connects the world. Messaging can stir emotion, form a company, topple a government.

A huge part of the web’s messaging runs on email, and as we’ve discussed before, email is still the killer app.

Email is mission critical to every web business, and virtually every non-web business. But just as fast as it has proliferated, it has grown in complexity beyond the grasp and control of most businesses. Email remains opaque, hard to operate, expensive to deploy.

Imagine our excitement when one of the sharpest teams on the internet decided to tackle this problem and form MessageBus. We’ve been watching their progress as they built the product and business over the past few months, and we were honored when they selected True to lead their Series A financing.

We’re thrilled to announce our investment in MessageBus, and we consider it an enormous privilege to work with this team to change the fidelity, power, and clarity of messaging over the web.

Email is the killer app, and Narendra, Nick, and Jeremy are the killer team.

Welcome to the True family!
