What is Founder Wisdom?
By True Ventures, March 8, 2011
For us here at True, community is about shared knowledge, open communication, and trusting relationships. We have the incredible good fortune to be a part of a fantastic community of entrepreneurs. As part of this large and every expanding community of high tech entrepreneurs, we feel it is important to share what we know. More importantly, we feel that it is important to share what our Founder community knows. For there, in the trenches, lie the hard lessons, the deserved triumphs and “how to” advice that is better than anything we could come with ourselves.
But what does that mean?
It means that as part of our blogging experience we will be featuring posts written by True portfolio Founders. From best practices to “if we’d only known” experiences to “this is how it began” stories, we hope that this series called Founder Wisdom will serve as the beginning of the conversation, as a means of opening up the platform to other shared experiences, stories, and anecdotes. It is in the sharing of communal knowledge and shared experiences that we hope to transform theory into practice and thought into action.
At True, we invest in great people who often have game-changing ideas. At the end of the day, it is the voices of these Founders that keep us doing what we are doing, and, by giving credit where credit is due, we add more voices and experiences to the already rich tapestry of the entrepreneurial community.
