Welcoming the 2012 TEC Fellows
By True Ventures, June 27, 2012
Since 2009, True has welcomed college juniors and seniors from schools across the country to True Entrepreneur Corps (TEC), our internship program for aspiring entrepreneurs. The TEC Fellows spend the summer in the Bay Area working with a dozen companies in our portfolio, joining small teams to experience firsthand the magic that our founders are creating and getting a deep understanding of what it’s like to work at a startup.
While we were certainly impressed by the members of this year’s class on paper, they have been even better in person. They are completely engaged in learning about the startup and entrepreneurial processes. By day, they’re doing great work at their companies, and by night, they’re even opting to gather at our office in San Francisco to work on projects together. We love their desire to learn, to engage and to connect, and we hosted a meetup for over 200 Silicon Valley interns last week to facilitate more connections. After all, these budding entrepreneurs may one day be starting companies together.
Now in their fourth week, the 2012 TEC Fellows are capturing their summer experience in a blog. Over the next several weeks, we’ll be sharing some of our favorite submissions here. We hope you’ll enjoy catching up with the True Entrepreneur Corps as much as we do.
