Much has been made of the youth culture in Silicon Valley and the new breed of ageism that comes with it. As TechCrunch pointed out yesterday, if you haven’t “made it” by age 30 in Silicon Valley, the collective opinion is that you will likely not succeed at all. However, the actual data shows the average age of peak innovation to be 40, inspiring TechCrunch reporters Sarah Buhr and Frank Barbieri to compile a list of 40 Founders who “made it” after turning 40 years old.

We were thrilled to see three members of the True family on the list: Amy Errett, Founder of Madison Reed; Philip Rosedale, Founder of High Fidelity; and Om Malik, True Partner and Founder of Gigaom (read Om’s thoughts on the “Passage of Time” here).

Amy, Philip and Om are all brilliant, incredibly talented entrepreneurs, and we are excited to see them featured among other renowned leaders in our industry.

Congratulations Amy, Philip and Om!
